Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment as Library Assistant under the Population Research Centre (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India) at the Institute, on a contractual basis for a period of one year. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview on a subsequent date.

Name of the Post: Library Assistant 

Consolidated Pay: 50,000/- per month.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Library and Information Science with minimum 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications:

The candidate should be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). Candidates with working knowledge of Library Automation Software SLIM, Digital Library Software (especially Dspace), and other open library software. Candidates willing to go for fieldwork and provide research assistance for PRC projects will be preferred.

The above appointment is contractual and shall be valid only for a period of one year. The post is purely temporary and the appointment shall not bestow any right whatsoever for regular appointment in the Centre/Institute.
