Educational Qualification:	Essential Qualification  A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ documentation/ Archives and manuscript keeping. Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a consistently good academic record.  Desirable Qualification  Experience with modern technology and practices for information storage, dissemination, and networked access. Familiarity with the way in which libraries of the future are going to be shaped. Experience in direct Recruitment/Contract 1. At least 10 years experience as Deputy Librarian in Govt/SemiGovt/PSU/University/ Educational Institute of national importance/R&D Institute of which at least 3 years with Grade Pay of Rs.9000/- Or 10 years of teaching as Assistant/ Associate Professor in Library Science Or 10 years Experience as a librarian/ Head of the Library department including in universities abroad 2. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work, including the integration of ICT in a library. For Deputation Officers from the Central/ State Governments or Institutes of the national importance of Universities/ University level institutions or PSUs a) Holding analogous post, and/or b) Possessing educational qualifications and experience as prescribed for direct recruitment.
