The Commission invites online applications for recruitment to 247 posts of Librarian under the Rajasthan Librarian (College Branch) Rules, 2023 for the College Education Department. Educational Qualification:

(i)  A Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed)


A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be:

Provided that the, candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree, and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode;

The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

The candidates has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

Note:

(i) The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.

(ii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for candidates in such Master's Programmes for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC,. CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Definition of Good Academic Record for the post of Librarian According to Letter date 17-07-2023 of College Education Department :

"Good academic record' means an average of at least 55% marks in-3 examinations preceding to Master's degree with at least 50% marks in graduation and any one of the Secondary/High School, Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent grades in the point scale wherever grading system is followed without including any grace marks and/or rounding off to make it 55% or 50% as the case may be."

How to Apply:

1. Before filling the online application form for the said post, first of all the candidates should read the instructions for filling the online application form available on the Commission's website https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, detailed advertisement and They must study the relevant service rules. Only after that the candidates should apply online. Instructions for Applicants available on the website of the Commission will be considered a part of the advertisement.

2. To apply online, candidates should click on the Apply online link available on the Commission's website https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or S.S.O. One Time Registration (OTR) will have to be done by logging in to the (SSO) portal https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and selecting the Recruitment Portal available in Citizen Apps (G2C). For doing One Time Registration (OTR) for the first time, candidate's name, father's name, date of birth, gender, secondary/equivalent examination and any one ID from Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter Card/Driving License ID. . It will be mandatory to enter the details of the proof and upload the documents.

3. Those candidates who have already done OTR can apply for SSO. Citizen by logging in from the portal https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in Apply online on the basis of your OTR number/number by selecting the Recruitment Portal available in Apps (G2C).

4. After one time registration, the candidate should enter his/her name, father's name, date of birth, gender, details of secondary/equivalent examination and Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter Card/Driving License ID in the OTR Profile. It will not be possible to make any kind of amendment in the details. Therefore, before doing OTT, the details mentioned in Aadhaar / Jan Aadhaar / SSO profile should be carefully compared with the entries in the educational documents.
