In pursuance of order No. 383(23)/MEE/Sectt., dt. 17.03.2023, read with Memo No. 20(23)/SS/MEELS/2023 dt. 15.05.2023 of the Department of Mass Education Extension & Library Services, Government of West Bengal, online applications (through the district website of Jhargram at https://jhargram.gov.in) are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the 17 ( Seventeen) post of Librarian of Govt. Sponsored Rural Libraries under the control of the Local Library Authority, Jhargram by direct recruitment on a purely temporary basis for a probation period of two years, but likely to be permanent.

Pay Scale:	Basic Pay of Rs. 22700/- (Cell-1 of Level-6 in the Pay Matrix of ROPA-2019)
Age Limit:	Should not be less than 18 years and above 40 years as on 01.01.2023
Educational Qualification:	(A) Required Essential Qualification: a) Passed in Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent and Possessing a pass Certificate in Library & Information Science from any of the following institutions:- i) Training Centre attached to the Bengal Library Association. ii) Training Centre attached to the District Library, Ramakrishna Boys’ Home, Rahara. iii) Training Centre attached to the Janata Colleges, at Kalimpong and Bandipur. iv) Any other training Centre recognized by the Govt. of West Bengal for the purpose. b) Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent are also eligible to apply. c) Basic Knowledge in Computer Applications. d) Knowledge of Bengali. (B) Desirable Qualification: Working experience in Library Administration (Applicable only for fully paid employees in a Library).
