Educational Qualification:	Essential 1. A Master‘s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. 2. At least ten years as a Librarian at any level in a University Library or ten years of teaching as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years of experience as a College Librarian. 3. Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library. 4. A Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science/documentation /archives and manuscript-keeping and research score of 120 as prescribed in the UGC Regulations 2018 as well as prescribed in the Government of West Bengal for direct recruitment.  5. Age not less than 40 years. Relaxable in the case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

Kalyani University invites online applications from Indian citizens through the website www.klyuniv.ac.in or through the portal www.kums.klyuniv.ac.in for the appointment of the following substantive post at the University. 

Applicants who had applied earlier only for the post of Librarian need to apply afresh following due procedure by paying the requisite amount. However, the amount will be refunded automatically on uploading the scanned copy of the earlier application.
