Interested eligible candidates are requested to apply for the post of Librarian at BIT Mesra, Ranchi on a Regular basis. They are required to submit their application in a prescribed application format.

Essential: 

I. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

II. At least 10 (ten) years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or 10 (ten) years of teaching as Assistant/ Associate Professor in Library Science or 10 (ten) years’ experience as a College Librarian.

III. Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.

IV. A Ph.D Degree in library Science / Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping.

Academic records and Research Performance:

Screening based on minimum academic record (20 API points) and research performance (40 API points) as per the Institute API calculation.

Filled in downloaded applications should be accompanied with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven hundred fifty only) for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PHs and for candidates belonging to other categories a non-refundable demand draft of Rs.1500/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred only) drawn in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology” payable at Ranchi towards application fee. Candidates are advised to write their name and post applied for on the backside of the demand draft.

The filled-in downloaded application form along with enclosures and demand draft must be sent in a sealed envelope by speed/registered post to The Registrar, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215, Jharkhand so as to reach on or before the last date for submission of application i.e. 15th April 2022.
