Educational Qualifications:

Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administrations or public sector undertakings or Universities or recognized research institutions or Semi-Government or autonomous bodies or statutory organizations.

(A) (1) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) Six years regular service in Level -5 (Rs. 29200 92300) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(B) Possessing the following qualifications: (i) Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University or institute; and

(ii) Two years' professional experience in a Library under Central Government or State Government or autonomous bodies or statutory bodies;

Note 1: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organizations or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

Note 2: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed fifty-six years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
