Lakshminath Bezbaroa Central Library of the Institute is looking for young, dynamic, highly motivated, and committed fresh Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from UGC-recognized Indian universities to serve as Library Trainees purely on a temporary basis for one year.

These positions are meant for imparting on-the-job training to the selected candidates. On satisfactory completion of the training period, a certificate will be issued and such trainees shall not be engaged subsequently for a traineeship in future:

No. of vacancies: 06 (Six) nos. (Number may vary)

Stipend Amount: Rs. 16,000/- per month will be paid during the period of training. Duration: Duration of traineeship will be for one year from the date of joining

Nature of Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions and services of the Library. Selected candidates will have to work five days a week and shall work in different shifts and on weekends on a rotation basis. They will be required to do staggered duties. 

Minimum qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce with Master Degree in Library & Information Science

Age limit: 26 years as on 3 January, 2022

General Information:

1. Institute reserves the right to hold a written test/ skill test/ interview in the selection process. No TADA will be paid to the candidates for attending the selection test.
2. Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for a written test/skill test/interview.
3. The Institute reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.
4. Any dispute with regard to the selection/engagement process will be subject to Courts Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati, only
5. Canvassing in any form bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for Vareeship INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED".
