Delhi Public Library (DPL) established in 1951 with over 33 service points and having sanctioned strength of 274 officers and staff, is the largest public library network in the country. The DPL system is managed by the Delhi Library Board (DIB) as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The DPL is looking for an officer to fill up one post of "Senior Library & Information Officer" in the Pay Matrix Level-12 of Rs. 78,800-2,09,200/- by Deputation including Short-Term Contract basis. The educational qualification, experience, age, etc. are given as under:

Educational Eligibility	Officers of the Central or State Government or UTs or Autonomous or Statutory Bodies ar Public Sector Undertakings/Universities or recognized Research or Educational Institute: a) Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR With 5 years regular service in posts in pay level-11 Rs. 67700-208700 OR equivalent and b) Possessing the education qualifications & experience laid down for direct recruits is as under: Essential i) Master's Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognized University Institute or equivalent. ii) 7 years professional experience in a supervisory capacity in a Library under Central State Government/Autonomous or Statutory organization/PSU/University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution. Desirable: 1) Experience in computerizing library activities and networking with other libraries 2) Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.
