A Walk-In-Interview will be held on 24.08.2021 at 11:00 A.M. on the University campus for recruiting an Assistant Librarian on a contract basis.

The qualifications and pay scale may be seen on the University website i.e. www.plcsupva.ac.in.

The original certificates of qualification along with photocopies thereof be brought for scrutiny.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.

Qualifications for the post of Assistant Librarian on a Contract basis:

1. Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

2. A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library. Good academic record.

3. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time.

4. Remuneration @ Rs. 40000/- per month.
