Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for appointment to the following permanent posts:

Essential Qualification:

(i) A Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed)

(ii) A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a Library.

(iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be: 

                Provided that the, candidates registered for the Ph.D. Degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinacnes / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree, and such Ph.D., candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:

(a) The Ph.D degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode.

(b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

(c) Open Ph.D viva voice of the candidate has been conducted;

(d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D work out of which at least one is in a referred journal.

(e) The candidates has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conference/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or nay similar agency.

Note:

(i)    The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affair) of the University Concerned.

(ii)   NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for candidates in such Master’s Programmes for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Instructions for filing online application form

1. The candidates are instructed to read carefully the detailed instructions before filling the online form.
2. College will accept the application form through online mode only. Applications other than online mode will be not be accepted and rejected summarily.
3. Candidates are advised to keep the email ID (to be entered compulsorily in the application form) active for at least one year. No change in the email ID will be allowed once entered. 
4. Before filling the online application form, the following should be kept ready:
5. Scanned photograph (three copies of the same photo should be retained for use at the time of interview. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the recruitment process is complete. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of interview, may lead to disqualification).
6. Valid e-mail ID.
7. Valid Mobile No.
8. Field with (*) marks are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidate.
9. A separate online form has to be submitted for each post.
10. In order to avoid last minutes rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough, college will not be responsible for any network problem or any other such type of problem.
11. Only short listed candidates who are found apparently eligible based on the details given in the online application form will be called for the written test and / or interview as the case may be.
12. The date of written examination, wherever applicable, will be notified on the college website. Candidates are required to check the college website on regular basis.
13. Admit Cards will not be sent by Post. Every eligible candidate may download his/her admit card having roll no. of candidate for appearing in the written examination from the college website.

General Instructions:

1. The upper age limit for the post advertised shall be determined as on closing date of the advertisement. The age relaxation shall be subject to the condition that maximum age of the applicant on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years.

2. Application fee is to be deposited through online mode only as per the details given below. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances:

3. The last date for submission of online application will be 21.08.2021 midnight or three weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.
