The Library of Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur requires dynamic, tech-savvy, and committed fresh Graduates/Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities to serve as Library Professional Trainees purely on a temporary basis for one year.

Education Qualifications	For LEVEL – I: Fresh Graduates in Bachelors in Library & Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) or Equivalent from recognized Indian Universities with First Class and consistently good academic record. For LEVEL – II: Fresh Graduates in Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or Equivalent from recognized Indian Universities with First Class and consistently good academic record.
Desirable	Knowledge of Computers
Nature of work	The Library Professional Trainees will: 1. Work on different functions & services of the library using emerging tools and technologies in the field of Library & Information Science, and Knowledge related analytics; and 2. Have to work six days a week and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends/holidays, on a rotation basis.
Leave and Medical Facilities	Leave: 8 Days of Casual Leave in a Calendar Year Medical Facility: As per Institute’s norms. Selected candidates have to provide a documentary proof (receipt) of medical insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh or more for self, at the time of joining.

Selection Procedure:

Written Test, Trade Test & Personal Interview: The Institute reserves the right to conduct Written Test, Trade Test, and Interview, wherever the circumstances so warrant or may fix criteria to restrict the number of candidates for Interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of minimum qualification or higher than those prescribed herein. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates for appearing in the selection process.

Proposed Remuneration: A consolidated stipend of

(a) Rs. 15,000/- per month for LEVEL-I (with B.Lib.I.Sc. only)

(b) Rs. 20,000/- per month for LEVEL-II (with M.L.I.Sc.)

General Instructions:

1. The candidates must be citizens of India.

7. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates regarding the conduct and result of the written test/interview and the reasons for not being called for the written test/interview.

8. Institute reserve the right to:

● fix, modify or revise the eligibility conditions, age, and selection criteria as per its requirements, at any time.

● fill up the post, not to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement in whole or part without assigning any reason.

● place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for the written test/interview.
